Excursion Öresund 2012
From the 17th to 24th of September 2012, the social geographic excursion „Øresund“ was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Andreas Koch and Madeleine Koch, MSc. 26 students of the bachelor program “geography” and of the teacher’s degree course “geography and economics” took part.
For more than 10 years, the Øresund bridge between Denmark and Sweden contributes to the development of the greater region of Øresund. Within the scope of the excursion, students observed and analyzed current development processes of cities, regions and economics in a social geographic perspective. Topics, such as migration on micro- and macro levels, comparisons of educational systems, differences in settlement and transport policies between countries and the European level, were also discussed on the spot with peers of the University of Sonderborg in Denmark and the University of Lund in Sweden.
Route of excursion: Hamburg, Sonderborg, Kopenhagen, Malmö, Ystadt, Lund, Helsingborg, Kalundborg, Odense, Gratsen, Hamburg
